EnergySys, powered by AWS.
The infrastructure behind your EnergySys platform is never something you should have to think about. It should be secure, always available, and capable of handling whatever your operation demands. That is what AWS makes possible.
EnergySys runs entirely on Amazon Web Services. Every customer, every application, every configuration, on the same enterprise-grade infrastructure, managed and updated continuously without any overhead on your side.
What that means for your operation
No infrastructure overhead. You do not need servers, IT teams, upgrade cycles, or capacity planning. AWS handles the infrastructure. You focus on your data.
Security you can demonstrate. EnergySys operates to the standards set by AWS’s implementation of ISO 27001, 27017, and 27018. These are independently verified certifications. When your security team, your regulators, or your joint venture partners ask about data security, you have a clear, auditable answer.
A platform that grows with you. Whether you are managing one asset or fifty, the infrastructure scales automatically. Adding users, expanding your configuration, or onboarding new assets does not require a project or a conversation with IT.
Upgrades without disruption. Configurations in EnergySys are stored as metadata rather than code. That means we can roll out platform improvements to every customer simultaneously, with no impact on existing configuration. Your system gets better over time. You never run an upgrade project or worry about version compatibility.
Integrations that hold. EnergySys uses AWS services including CloudWatch, S3, and CloudFront as part of its architecture. The event-driven design, built on Amazon EventBridge, supports reliable integration with third-party tools your business already uses, and allows you to receive data in your own AWS account as events occur.
Advanced Technology Partner, AWS Energy Competency
EnergySys is an Advanced Technology Partner of AWS. In 2021, we were awarded AWS Energy Competency status, recognising our expertise in the sector and our track record using cloud technology to manage complex operational data in oil and gas.
AWS Energy Competency is awarded to partners who have demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success specifically within the energy industry. It is not awarded on application.
Available on AWS Marketplace
EnergySys is listed on AWS Marketplace. For organisations already operating within the AWS ecosystem, this simplifies procurement, standardises contracting, and allows you to draw down against existing AWS spend commitments.
In practice
BPX, US onshore gas operations
BPX used the EnergySys platform, running on AWS, to streamline and automate production data management across a large onshore well count.
Operational workflows were simplified, regulatory compliance was maintained, and the platform handled the data volumes the operation required.
Ancala Midstream, North Sea
When Ancala’s legacy infrastructure management system reached end of life, they replaced it with EnergySys, implemented by Accord Energy Solutions and running on AWS.
The result: a cloud-native system managing the SAGE Pipeline and SAGE Terminal, which transports around 10% of the UK’s gas supply. Ancala no longer manually generates over 1,000 reports. Shippers and suppliers access data themselves through a self-service environment. The project was delivered on time and under budget.
Santos, Australia
Santos needed to replace a legacy system across their entire operated asset portfolio, including over 50 years of historic data. Working with Elite Energy on the EnergySys platform, running on AWS, they completed the full deployment in under 10 months.
Since then, Santos has extended the platform to cover GHG management and reporting, commercial operations, and recent acquisitions in Western Australia.
Watch: EnergySys and AWS
Managing measurement data in the cloud
Traditional measurement management systems are inflexible, expensive, and difficult to change. This 25-minute webinar explores how cloud technology transforms the way operators manage measurement data, including approaches that work at high data volumes.
Security in the cloud
Cloud security is one of the questions we get asked most. This 20-minute webinar addresses the protocols and standards operators should expect from any cloud solution in oil and gas, and what good looks like in practice.
