EnergySys Ltd is delighted to announce that Chrysaor has joined the rapidly growing number of oil and gas companies who use the innovative EnergySys Cloud Platform to manage their production data.
The contract was executed in July 2017, and will see Chrysaor use EnergySys to deliver hydrocarbon accounting and production reporting for the North Sea assets they recently acquired from Shell. They are predicted to go live for September 2017.
Chrysaor, formed in 2007, is an exploration and production company focused on the development and commercialisation of dormant oil and gas discoveries and incremental reserves. It became the largest independent operator in the North Sea earlier this year, following the £2.46bn deal to buy Shell’s North Sea assets. The deal includes Shell’s interests in Buzzard, Beryl, Bressay, Elgin-Franklin, J-Block, the Greater Armada cluster, Everest, Lomond and Erskine. It also includes a 10% stake in Schiehallion.
Dr Peter Black, Managing Director, EnergySys, said: “We are delighted to welcome Chrysaor to the EnergySys platform. We believe that our cloud solution offers Chrysaor an unmatched combination of configurability and power, at a compelling price point. We have a great deal of experience swapping out inflexible, expensive, traditional software with our more agile platform, and look forward to working with Chrysaor to achieve their business goals.”
Alex Graham, Transition Senior Contracts Engineer of Chrysaor stated: “Following our acquisition of Shell’s North Sea assets, we quickly realised the existing production data management system was not fit for purpose. We required a system with high levels of flexibility, automation, stability, and security. EnergySys was the only solution that delivered everything we need, with the ability to turn it around and meet our incredibly tight deadline.”
EnergySys has been delivering services to the oil and gas industry for over fifteen years. It is a pioneer in the provision of cloud services for the industry, and is a market leader in its field.
The EnergySys standard platform is completely configurable, which creates a perfect environment for data management and reporting of complex or non-standard assets. Everything, including the way data is imported and stored, and all business logic, can be configured and extended by the end-user, without the need for specialist programing skills. EnergySys is recognised as the best and most economic option for enterprises that require a secure, flexible system that can accommodate rapid change. It can provide a return on investment in weeks or months, not years.
The implementation of EnergySys for Chrysaor will be carried out by Accord Energy Solutions Ltd.
