We are delighted to announce that Peter Westwood, Technical Director at EnergySys, has been appointed for the third time to the 2017 Executive Team for the PRODML Special Interest Group (SIG).
PRODML is a family of XML and Web Services based standards from Energistics, specifically designed for the upstream oil and gas industry. The initiative started in 2005, and is aimed at creating standards to support automated production data acquisition, operations monitoring, optimisation, reporting, and configuration management.
Peter represents EnergySys on the PRODML SIG alongside seven other members from Chevron, ExxonMobil, Halliburton, P2 Energy, Schlumberger, Shell and Total. Alongside an appointed Energistics representative, they provide leadership and operational oversight of annual objectives related to adoption and development of PRODML. This ensures a wide variety of perspectives, experience and interests that contribute to the development of the best possible standards for the industry.
