Excel is a wonderful tool for describing calculations, algorithms and logic rules. We all love it and for good reason. It is a much easier and more familiar language than, say, Java or C#. So, we adopted Excel as the means to manage the logic and calculations users want to undertake in our low code platform.

Importantly, we don't run the calculations or store any data in Excel. Instead, everything goes into the database, and you can define the calculations in Excel and present the results back in Excel.

This means that you, the business user, can understand the logic used in the applications. You can build that logic yourself rather than relying on a programmer to interpret your requirements correctly. Not only that, but there is also no black box and no impenetrable code, so you can see every single piece of application logic in a tool you know well.
