EnergySys Limited has been awarded a contract for the supply of the Hydrocarbon Accounting System for the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) by the South Caucasus Pipeline Company Limited operated jointly by BP and Statoil as part of the Shah Deniz gas and condensate development project. The system provides services for the Shah Deniz field but the majority of the functionality services the South Caucasus Pipeline Company (SCPC) Limited which transports the gas to markets in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. SCPC is a joint venture company whose shareholders include: BP, Statoil, SOCAR, LUKOIL, NICO, Total, and TPAO. The system will support the technical operation of the pipeline, undertaken by BP, and will provide Statoil and the Azerbaijan Gas Supply Company (AGSC) Limited, who manage the gas sales, with all of the technical information they require for commercial operations. The interface between these two systems will be fully automated. The contract, with a value in excess of half a million pounds, will assure the delivery of one of the most advanced hydrocarbon management systems in the world, and builds on a track record of successful deployments of the ENERGYSYS product.
